To me the greatest blessing of All from Allah .. is Knowing Him …

I feel so blessed when I feel that Allah is with me, when I feel that I can submit all to Him and not loose a thing.

When I feel that I need not to worry when I know Him.

When I face a problem or a great challenge and know that He is by my side and that He shall not let me down.

When I know that whatever good or bad happens in my life is a gift from Him,  for a greater purpose that I am too ignorant to forsee … and that only with the faith He has bestowed upon me I can accept His gift.

When I feel that He is planning for me, paving the path and removing the obstacles from my life.

When I feel that he knows my suffering and my struggling in staying on the right path.

When I know that if I call Him  at anytime and at any place ..  he is  listening to me with no madiator in between .. He is always near and ready to accept my prayer.

When I know that if I do not get what I want the most or loose what I love the most,  It is for my own good. I am sure He is keeping something better for me here or in the hereafter.

When I know that if I make a mistake He is ready to forgive.

When I am not sure of what to do and I know that I can ask for His assertion and leave it all up to Him.

When I feel his love in the world that He has created to me and the blessings He has bestowed upon me.

Truly, knowing God .. Allah is the truest Blessing of all and I am very Thankful :)

Well, Today I decided that I prefer Sunrise to Sunset !

Even though I am a night person… There is something about the serenity of the start of the day that makes it so personal and refreshing :)

I am enjoying a sunrise with birds singing around me and a beautiful view .. getting sneak peaks of the sun as it rises in the sky

A new Day … A new Beginning ….

Have a nice Day :D

Simply Irresistible :)
Truly laughter is contagious :)

Sarah Mclachlan – world on fire

Hearts are worn
In these dark ages
You’re not alone,
In these stories’ pages
The light has fallen
Amongst the living and the dying
And I’ll try to hold it in
Yeah I’ll try to hold it in

The world is on fire
It’s more than I can handle
I’ll tap into the water
Try and bring my share
Try to bring more, more than I can handle
Bring it to the table
Bring what I am able …

I watch the heavens
But I find no calling
Something I can do to change what’s coming
Stay close to me
While the sky is falling
I don’t wanna be left alone,
Don’t want to be alone…

The world is on fire
It’s more than I can handle
I’ll tap into the water
Try and bring my share
Try to bring more, more than I can handle
Bring it to the table
Bring what I am able …

Hearts break … hearts mend … love still hurts
visions clash … planes crash
Still there’s talk of saving souls
Still the cold is closing in on us

We part the veil on our killer sun
Stray from the straight line
On this short run …
The more we take the less we become
The fortune of one man means less for some

The world is on fire
It’s more than I can handle
I’ll tap into the water
Try and bring my share
Try to bring more, more than I can handle
Bring it to the table
Bring what I am able …

The world is on fire
It’s more than I can handle
I’ll tap into the water
Try and bring my share
Try to bring more, more than I can handle
Bring it to the table
Bring what I am able …

Nope I am not innocent … I am as guilty as anyone and as anything … I am not a victim … I am responsible for what and where I am today and I am guilty as charged !!!

Whenever something goes wrong I am sure we always find a way to make ourselves as a victim of our circumstances and find a million reasons why we are as we are today. In fact we find great peace in feeling that way we can always find someone or something to blame for our misery, misfortune or status. For example we blame our parents, we blame our country and government, we blame our friends, we blame the system, we blame the weather, we blame our childhood, our financial status, our looks, our health condition, we blame our kids, we blame everything and everyone and always see ourselves as the poor defeated victims. I don’t mean to be senseless, cruel and lacking empathy. I am sure that many of us go through horrible conditions and at times many of us are tormented and abused by people and things around us. But the issue is not the bad circumstances but instead how we deal with these circumstances.
You can even see it when two people are mad at each other each one sees how the other has done them bad and hurt them and each one has a reasonable reason for being mad at the other but do they think that it can actually be “It’s not you its me” maybe they are the one who should be more tolerant, more understanding more flexible, more considerate.
Well being the defeated victim is just an excuse we give ourselves to stay as we are and not try to change..Its a good way to comfort ourselves by being sorry for ourselves and sometimes seeking people to be sorry for us too..
Stephen Covey states in his book The Seven Habits, people tend to be reactive.. not proactive reacting to what the environment has brought and not trying to act on environment.

Look at the word responsibility—“response-ability”—the ability to choose your response.
Highly proactive people recognize that responsibility. They do not blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. Their behavior is a product of their own conscious choice, based on values, rather than a product of their conditions, based on feeling.”

~ Stephen R. Covey from “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”

Why don’t we try to see things in a different way in a sense that we see these circumstances as tests from God as a Challenge to stand on our feet and set an example, as a pebble on the road of life that will just disappear as we go further, as something that we have a hand in changing and a way for us to rise up.
This reminds me of the the Arabic proverb “جعلوني مجرمأً” “They made me a criminal” just as if one had nothing to do with it !
I have heard a story about a horse , a horse that feel in a big hole and his owner was so sad for him and thought that the poor horse would die and that its the end. The owner started to throw sand in the hole to bury the horse that was sentenced to death…. but the horse didn’t see himself as a victim and didn’t surrender to the situation and was not helpless. The horse started to move in the hole as the owner threw the sand until he mad the sand beneath him and was able to rise up from the hole.
Another famous example of 2 rats that fell in a bucket of cream one decided to surrender and drawn and the other kept on trying to fight and beat the cream with his legs until the milk became thick butter and he was able to rise up from the bucket!
You make the choice u decide whether u should surrender to the circumstances and mis fortunate events that come by your way or you decide to defy them to stand up for the challenge and make something big out of it. You see we are not innocent we are just as guilty …. Its all part of being proactive and of controlling your own destiny and taking the initiative to take control of your life instead of leavuing our life control you.

“No matter what we feel or know, no matter what our gifts or talents,
only action brings them to life.
Many of us understand concepts such as
commitment, courage and love,
but we truly know only when we can do.

Doing leads to understanding and action turns knowledge to wisdom.”
Dan Millman

In Egypt the weather is “Sunny and dry in summer , warm and rainy in winter” And it Doesn’t Snow in Egypt… Yes it doesn’t … :) We have Sun all through the year and we don’t know how it feels at ZERO Degrees Celsius :)

In Germany however its different ,,, The sun is a luxury and the snow is a normal thing … at least to Germans not to me!

I LOVE THE SNOWWW
It makes me so excited and Silly !
I love touching it and stepping into it and most of all I like seeing it :)
I really hope I it snows more so I can make a snowman :D

I have to admit I miss the Sun Somtimes but yet the snow … Ahhh is different
Its a beautiful thing … “Sobhan Allah” سبحان الله How amazing does everything look like with its white frosting how soft and cuddly everything is …

Really it makes u wonder about the beauty of God’s creation and the diversification in his creation and his power to create all sorts of beauties and wonders … How He has blessed us with creating things that make us so happy and how He has made every part of the world special and unique in a sense that now place feels like another …

Week 11:

Our 11th week of “على خطى الحبيب”

This hadith is very inspiring shows you how Islam really aims to improve our manners and to purify our hearts.
I am personally concerned most about the part about “المراء” as one falls into it often arguing about useless things where the only benefit is to prove one party wrong and the other right.
Even when we argue about important issues.. It is enough that one states their opinion soundly and clearly once. Prolonging the argument needlessly may only cause it to become personal and let us astray from the true essence of the argument.
And I think you can spot this in many of our TV Talk Shows.
Next time I argue about something May Allah remind me of this hadith and help me set the right intention and help me leave a pointless argument …Ameen..

AL Mualiam – Sami Yusuf

We once had a Teacher
The Teacher of teachers,
He changed the world for the better
And made us better creatures,
Oh Allah we’ve shamed ourselves
We’ve strayed from Al-Mu’allim,
Surely we’ve wronged ourselves
What will we say in front him?
Oh Mu’allim…

Chorus

He was Muhammad salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
He was Muhammad salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
Teacher of all Mankind.
Abal Qasim [one of the names of the Prophet]
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi’i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad
(The best of Allah’s creation is Muhammad)
Ya Mustafa ya Imamal Mursalina
(O Chosen One, O Imam of the Messengers)
Ya Mustafa ya Shafi’al ‘Alamina
(O Chosen One, O intercessor of the worlds)
He prayed while others slept
While others ate he’d fast,
While they would laugh he wept
Until he breathed his last,
His only wish was for us to be
Among the ones who prosper,
Ya Mu’allim peace be upon you,
Truly you are our Teacher,
Oh Mu’allim..

Chorus

Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi’i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Ya Rasuli ya Muhammad
(O My Messenger O Muhammad)
Ya Bashiri ya Muhammad
(O bearer of good news O Muhammad)
Ya Nadhiri ya Muhammad
(O warner O Muhammad)
‘Ishqu Qalbi ya Muhammad
(The love of my heart O Muhammad)
Nuru ‘Ayni ya Muhammad
(Light of my eye O Muhammad)
He taught us to be just and kind
And to feed the poor and hungry,
Help the wayfarer and the orphan child
And to not be cruel and miserly,
His speech was soft and gentle,
Like a mother stroking her child,
His mercy and compassion,
Were most radiant when he smiled

Chorus
Abal Qasim [one of the names of the Prophet]
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi’i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad
(The best of Allah’s creation is Muhammad)
Ya Mustafa Ya Imamal Mursalina
(O Chosen One O Imam of the Messengers)
Ya Mustafa ya Shafi’al ‘Alamina
(O Chosen One O intercessor of the worlds)

Week 10:

Our 10th week of “على خطى الحبيب”

Our Intentions decide the value our deeds.
Truly this is the greatest essence of Islam. The meaning of worship in Islam in not only limited to rituals like praying and fasting .. on the contrary the rituals are only a small (yet essential) part of the meaning of worship, In fact one could turn daily habits into acts of worship only by doing them with the right intention to please God..
Examples:
If you sleep with an intention that your body needs the rest to start a new day, be able to wake up for prayer and be alert at work then your sleep is worship,
Moreover if you sleep on wudu and say your prayer before u sleep the angles would spend the night praying for your mercy and forgiveness which means even more Thawab.
All the daily hygienic habits, washing your teeth , brushing your hair, cutting your nails and even using lotion are all part of “Al tahara” الطهارة in Islam and were done be the Prophet Mohamed PBUH.

Looking good and dressing well to present a good image of Islam.
Your Studies and work to help your country and to make an added value in society.
Treating your friends and family with love, respect and appreciation.
And I am sure that u can make an Intention for every Act you Do.

Intentions are a double sided weapon in a sense that if u take a wrong intention in things they may become bad deeds. Like doing Charity, Salah or any act of worship to impress others or eeven satisfy your ego.
Like doing things for the sake of just being famous or having more money without taking an intention of worhip to Allah in them will make these deeds worhtless on the day of judgement.

So For the following 2 weeks let us try to :
- Make an intention in every single act of our day
- Gaurd the actions that we do for a false intention and try to shift our intention to something that would please Allah All Mighty.

In occasion of this Hadith I would like to link u to this post ..
An inspiring song about taking intentions in our deeds:)
